UEAisolatedfrom Ulexeuropaeus (Furzegorse)seedsiscoupledwithSeparopore®4B-CL.Heatstable,cross-linked4%agarosebeadswithamolecularweightexclusionlimitofabout2x107 areusedasthesolid-phasematrixtowhichthelectiniscovalentlybound.Theattachmentofthelectintothesolidphaseiscontrolled sothattheactivityofthelectinpreservedandconformationalchangesoftheboundlectinareminimized.
