USE
Cellulase is an enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of certain linkages in cellulose and other carbohydrates. It helps hydrolyze the endo-1,4-β-D-glycosidic linkages in cellulose, lichenin, barley glucan, and the cellooligosaccharides cellotriose to cellohexaose, which is very useful for research. It does not cleave p-nitrophenyl-β-D-glucoside or cellobiose. It also hydrolyzes xylosyl serine linkages in intact glycosaminoglycan from a core peptide. Cellulase is used in the fermentation of biomass into biofuels, although this process is relatively experimental at present.
Handling

Do not breathe dust/fume/gas/mist/vapors/spray. Corrosive hazard. Wear protective gloves/clothing and eye/face protection.
