USE
Sodium Formate is used as a buffering agent for strong mineral acids to increase their pH, as a food additive, and as a de-icing agent. It is a versatile chemical used in many laboratory techniques such as crystallization, molecule-based material construction, and chemiluminescence. It has been shown to act as a signal for Salmonella invasion and acts as a free radical scavenger.
