USE
CHAPS 10% Solution is a non-denaturing, zwitterionic detergent which is derived from cholic acid. It is primarily used for membrane permeabilization of cells and for protein solubilization in isoelectric focusing. CHAPS 10% Solution is used as a denaturing buffer component in enzyme characterization and 2D- sample buffer component in 2D electrophoresis. CHAPS 10% Solution is also useful in ion exchange chromatography and isoelectric focusing as it is zwitterionic and does not exhibit a net charge between pH 2 to 12.
