USE
Protein Solubilizer 40, Sterile 10% of NP-40 Ampoules is an alternative form of Nonidet P-40, which functions as a polyglycol ether (non-ionic) surfactant that is useful in isolating and purifying membrane proteins in two dimensional gel electrophoresis. Studies indicate that it can be employed to solubilize cerebral GABA receptors. Also it is an efficient tool to study breast cancer by functioning as a solubilizing agent interacting with membrane proteins and lipids. Furthermore, it is beneficial in the extraction of MHC proteins and the zwitterionic detergent CHAPS (sc-29088).
